Be considerate - please clean up after your pets.
It's just Common Sense...........
- None of us likes to deal with unpleasant "gifts" that are left behind by pets during their walks.
- Show appropriate and appreciated respect for your neighbors and their property.
Be Safe - Obey Leash Laws
Dogs are territorial, and even under the best of circumstances can be unpredictable.
- Pets are not allowed to run loose at any time. When walking your pet in the neighborhood, it must be kept on a strong leash and under control of the owner at all times.
- Any damage or injury caused by a pet, whether under restraint or not, is the responsibility of the owner and may result in significant legal and financial obligations.
PARKING HAZARDS
Parking on the streets, especially in areas where visibility is limited or compromised, creates significant safety exposures and is strictly prohibited* by our covenants (CCRs) and the Uniform Rules of the Road. Under no circumstances will dangerous parking practices be allowed, as it creates a safety hazard and exposes our residents, children, visitors, and service providers to potential life-threatening injuries while also creating a potential legal and financial liability for each and every Lathem's Mill homeowner. Our HOA Board and our Management Company will exercise every option available within the limits of all applicable laws and regulations to address violations of our parking restrictions and will take actions to try and protect our HOA from exposure to unwelcome and avoidable liabilities.
Homeowners are responsible for the actions of their guests and their service providers. Let them know that hazardous parking is prohibited (exceptions are listed below) and that you would appreciate it if they would avoid doing so if at all possible.
Demonstrate personal responsibility by showing respect for your neighbors and our CCRs. If the recorded rules and regulations are respected and honored with voluntary compliance, punitive measures will never be required.
* Exceptions:
(1) Short-term temporary parking may be allowed for service providers who are actively performing work for a homeowner, especially if they cannot park in the homeowner's driveway due to the size of their vehicle.
(2) Guests of homeowners who are attending a brief celebratory or memorial event.
